Professional touch screens – bright and robust
Both the 15” touch screen used in the K400 and the 17” touch screen in the K500 are equipped with a highly durable panel from Elo. These screens cope with the worst treatment peak hours can bring: A high protection against moisture is especially important for catering and food retail. The screen inclination is adjustable and as a result easily adapted to individual user requirements. Fingerprints on its fat-repellent surface are virtually invisible and easily removed. Consequently, the screen stays always a visual highlight at the POS. Its large screen size of 15 or 17 inches usually means that a keyboard is not required.

High performance with latest hardware
The Glancetron POS system offers with its high-end components an exceptionally high processing power for best performance. Applications are boosted with a powerful 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 CPU and 1GB memory.

The 80 GB hard disk (3.5”) offers sufficient capacity for system, programmes, and user data. The professional drawer-system makes hardware upgrades a piece of cake.

Extremely reliable and easy to maintain
Only high-quality PC standard components are used to ensure long-term operation. Market experience and technical expertise were used to design this tested and proven system.

Almost maintenance-free and with modular design (see illustration) – the K400/K500 convinces with quality. All hardware components can be reached within seconds without tools and with just a few movements. Faults or idle cash desks are history with immediate effect: Defective parts, like hard disks, are quickly exchanged for a new one within a few minutes – experience is not required, even your customer can do this.

Ergonomic design
The Glancetron POS system is a cash register that does not only excel at technical performance. It is always a visual delight. The black housing features a very compact size of only 38x37cm for professional integration into space-critical POS areas. The location of the interfaces and its operability satisfy even the highest demands. Two user-friendly USB ports are located at the front and are hygienically hidden behind a panel together with the power switch and the menu key.

Perfect connection with an extensive choice of interfaces
All standard K400/K500 systems come with an extensive choice of interfaces. Besides 4xRS232, 1xparallel, 2xPS/2 and 2xRJ11 interfaces, the standard version even features a Mini PCI and a CF slot. A second VGA port allows your customer to display applications on a second screen, which can help to increase sales by additional percentage points. Besides two USB ports on the back of the system, the terminal offers another two ports at the front that can be used to upload user data (e.g. with a USB stick) or integrate additional hardware within seconds. Not only standard interfaces give your customer flexibility: Network connection can be realised using the Ethernet port but optionally also with wireless LAN. The required WLAN card (Mini PCI) can be obtained as optional accessory. The required aerial is already integrated in the product.

All external screw joints integrate seamlessly into the cash register design. In order to reach the drawer system no additional tools are required. The flat housing offers space for a user-friendly installation of the 15” touch screen. Any user demands on operability can be fulfilled with its adjustable vertical inclination.
